So as you all know, I’m a very busy bunny. With all the things I’m always doing, (cooking, playing video games, modeling, making movies etc), there’s a considerable amount of wear & tear to my fur.
The other day, we discovered a small bald patch under my chin.
I’m not sure if you can see it here..
(you can click on the picture to enlarge it)

Balding is very tragic for stuffed animals, because we do not have the ability to re-grow hair like some other anipals do. My brother, Little Laurence, had extensive hare-replacement surgery done to cover a bald spot that was 2 inches long!! And his procedure took almost 2 weeks! Each strand is carefully sewn in individually, so you can imagine, it’s a pretty time-consuming process.

Here’s a close up of my little bald patch:

At least my bald patch was still fairly small….
After a painful hour, here is the result:

As you can see, I’m still knocked out from the bunny anesthetics.
I’ve been told by my hare-transplant specialist that this will be an on-going procedure from now on because there are many areas on my fur that are “thinning”…
*sigh*

Anyway, I guess that’s the price I have to pay for being “active”!!
Thanks for listening,
HUGS,
Zackary =:X

Oh man… well, kick back with some carrot juice, the worst is over and you're looking like a new bunny…

  • Mookie

Oh, poor Zacky!!! I hope you're back to normal soon!!! I know how you feel, the vet once gave me a shot into the neck!!! Darn it, I will return someday… Sending BIG HEALING HUGS to you!!! :-)

  • Marlowe

I am glad that your surgery could be done under bunny-anesthetics. I have itty bitty holes in my paws that my mom is worried about. I'm going to have to go under bear-anesthetics someday soon to fix them!

  • Shawnee the Shepherd

I is so glad you no has the ringwormies. That would be very icky. You would turn yellow from the lyme sulfur dippings and be very stinky. Yup, hare transplants is much better.

  • Aska Rabbit

I guess the Rogaine didn't work. Mom has a stuffed teddy named Fuzzy Joe Bear who is a registered antique now (he was new when she got him). Let's put it this way he isn't fuzzy and could use an all over transplant.

  • Busy Buttons

Sorry to hear about your hare transplant!

I gotta admit that I'm guilty of plucking the fur off of my squeaky toys. But I never saw the effects from this point of view before. I'll try to be better now, just for you.

  • Midge

You have a bald patch?! o.O Oh no!
I didn't chew too hard when I tried to get that stain out, did I?

  • Doc, the beardoctor

Do like Doc. Spend the winter in the sunshine and you can almost watch your fur grow.

  • Niqqi

I'll have to pass on that tactic to my dad. He could really use it. Does it hurt?

  • Kolo Martin
